Construction and overall plan for Panda Research Center, Eco Lodge and Entry Hospitality complex is shown to the right. These buildings which were under construction during the recent earthquake were undamaged even though the epicenter was only 10-12 miles away.
Nearby Genda Valley is the location for the proposed ecotourism development master plan shown on the left. Higher in this same valley is our planned new Panda breeding and reintroduction center.
Set in the high eastern slopes of the Himalayas the Giant Panda Preserve is a landscape of rushing streams, rocky mist covered

mountains, and surprisingly, monkeys, brilliant rain forest birds and beautiful indigenous villages. Immediately you feel the need for building with this landscape and conserving its riches. Local crafts including weaving, woven baskets, masonry and intricate fine wood screens that cover exterior openings. So in so far as possible we have used indigenous building materials, crafts and design practices.
